Numerical Study on the Influence of Fault Structure on the Geostress Field

A geostress field continuously evolves with long-term tectonic activity. fault, as a general product of movements, has great influence on the in vicinity. To analyze characteristics and influencing factors near fault fracture zone high-altitude areas, this study takes Dianda-Piru Qinghai–Tibet Plateau its research object. Based geological conditions situ stress measurement data area, refined numerical model was established using simulation to invert vicinity zone, quantitative analysis distribution carried out. The results show that overall relationship between large horizontal principal σH, vertical σv, small σh is σH > σv σh, surrounding rock dominated by stress. Geostress released within certain extent, there degree concentration intact mass upper plate fault. elastic modulus greater structure area than Poisson’s ratio, range stress-weakening increases decrease modulus. maximum inside increase angle strike regional stress, while deflection direction decreases angle. law fields developed structures can provide theoretical guidance for sustainable development engineering construction tectonically active areas.
